Prevention & Safety advises on all matters relating to occupational health and safety, physical safety and evaluates hazardous circumstances around the university workplace.

You can find us on the internet and intranet.

The newsletter will be published once a quarter in the future.

Preventive fire protection

The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are dropping - Advent is here. At this time, people like to light candles or incense sticks to capture the mood. For fire safety reasons, we remind you that open fires of any kind (including candles) are prohibited in University rooms.  LED tea lights can be a safe and atmospheric alternative to candles. (§ 7 Abs 10 Brandschutzordnung 2020).

Please note the ban on setting up (private) energy-intensive (partly private) electrical appliances (e.g. fan heaters and radiant heaters).
This also includes the parking of e-scooters and e-bikes in escape route areas or storage areas, as these objects pose an increased fire hazard.

eMployees - Health & Safety

Health & Safety is an e-learning program for occupational safety with which employees can be instructed in a verifiable, sustainable and efficient manner. The most important topics of occupational safety are presented in 10 modules in a multimedia-based and easy-to-understand way.
